Democo transformed Sint-Vincentius in Lovenjoel into an apartment building with 20 apartments. The building is part of the former Salve Mater site, where several buildings are gradually being given a new residential function.
During the renovation, the existing façade, several interior walls and the stair core were preserved. Democo then further developed the building, from structural works to full finishing. The biggest technical challenge was anchoring the new structure into the existing façades: more than 1,000 zones had to be marked out and 7,000 chemical anchors were installed to secure the new floor slabs.
