BeMoTeam launches construction of new infrastructure for the Land Component’s new vehicles in Marche-en-Famenne.
A new milestone has been reached in this infrastructure project for the Land Component in Marche-en-Famenne. The official laying of the foundation stone marks the start of construction of these future facilities.
Delivered by the BeMoTeam consortium, this strategic project will provide Defence with modern infrastructure for the maintenance, storage and training associated with its new armoured vehicles.
Awarded in 2025 as a Design–Build–Maintain (DBM) contract, the project includes the design, construction and ten-year maintenance of four complementary facilities: a storage complex, a maintenance complex, a washing facility for motorised armoured vehicles, and a simulation complex dedicated to military training.
Designed to meet Defence’s operational requirements, these facilities will provide high-performance, functional and adaptable spaces. Their design aims to optimise logistical flows, facilitate maintenance operations and incorporate sustainable solutions for energy efficiency and resource management.
Covering an area of more than 22,000 m², the project is being delivered by the BeMoTeam consortium, bringing together the expertise of Galère, Democo, Sweco Architects, L'Heudé Architectes, Greisch, Tractebel, Equans, Belor, Seco, Semaco, SIX Consulting & Engineering and Equans Services. This integrated approach ensures continuity across the design, construction and maintenance phases, while maintaining a high level of quality throughout the infrastructure’s entire life cycle.
The laying of this foundation stone marks an important milestone in the project’s progress. Construction will continue until 2027, with the aim of providing Belgian Defence with modern, sustainable infrastructure tailored to the operational challenges of the future.
